The current project provided an extra period of time to continue this process and extend the outcome to a wider audience through participation in workshops, field days and farmer updates... As the project has achieved its aim of deriving and subsequently offering some solutions to a wide audience of farmers, advisers and researchers over a considerable period of time, there is no need for it to continue... As the project was an extension of the previously reported project ACR4, the expected outcome is as previously reported for that project with an extension of the message to a further audience in excess of 600 including 586 farmers from Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales...

Dual purpose canola would provide an excellent break crop for winter cereals in the high rainfall zone, and potentially improve the profitability and flexibility of mixed farming operations... The final biomass and yield of the canola in the grazed and un-grazed areas was measured from two hand harvested quadrats (1.08 m x 0.4 m) taken at physiological maturity in each plot and oil content measured using NMR.
