Combining data across trials (and years) enhances the chance of selecting the appropriate varieties, but this is not an easy task.. A new method of analysis will allow growers/advisors to select a location and a season, and the NVT online system will provide the most accurate prediction of relative yield performance of varieties for this environment... For example, if we compare varieties using mean yields calculated from an analysis of five such trials instead of a single trial, we have up to 15 replicate plots measuring yield for each variety...
