Stubble and fallow management are key determinants of survival, infection and yield loss from CR. Burning wheat residue has been promoted as one option for the control of CR... Delaying the onset of stripe rust within a crop is the key to significantly reducing the risk of yield loss to this disease in 2005... Stripe rust specific seed treatments are not required and crops should simply be monitored early for the development of stripe rust and a foliar fungicide applied if severe early infection warrants it...
