The integrated management of insect pests in grain crops on the Eyre Peninsula will be the focus of a workshop for advisers and growers at Cummins on September 11... The Grains Research and Development Corporation ( GRDC) workshop is locally supported by Dow AgroSciences and Syngenta and addresses the needs of advisers and growers who seek an improved understanding of insects and their management to assist with implementation of more sustainable insect management practices... Workshop topics include implementing an integrated approach to insect management and decision making; monitoring, thresholds and management strategies for regionally important crops and insects; and integrated pest management tools including conserving beneficial insects and more selective insecticide options...
