In the 2014 Wimmera trial, researchers looked at how delaying harvest affects the yield and grain quality of 18 barley varieties, sown on 13 May and harvested on two different dates: 12 November, the optimum time to harvest; and 10 December, 28 days after the optimum time to harvest... There was no significant difference in yield between the two harvest dates ( Table 2 )...
