Cereal growers, who may already be considering their fertiliser requirements for the 2014 winter cropping season, now have access to a free Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) winter cereal nutrition application (app)... GRDC delivery platforms manager Tom McCue said the app covered both nutrient deficiencies and toxicities and environmental, chemical and physiological disorders which could give similar symptoms to nutrient disorders... The popular MyCrop diagnostic app has been expanded to include barley and canola, as well as wheat... "The app enables quick identification of a range of crop production constraints including diseases, pests, nutrient deficiencies, herbicide damage and many others," Department of Agriculture and Food (DAFWA) development officer and project leader Kelly Ryan said... Ms Ryan said the app had been developed by DAFWA with funding from the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC), and it consolidated decades of the department's research and development on wheat, barley and canola production constraints...
