Recurrent selection with pyroxasulfone at below-label doses has resulted in pyroxasulfone resistance and cross-resistance to prosulfocarb and triallate... We suggest that herbicide rotation at the full label rate of prosulfocarb, pyroxasulfone, triallate and trifluralin in conjunction with weed seed control at harvest is currently the most sustainable solution for pre-emergence herbicide control of annual ryegrass in cereals...
