The result confirms the conclusions of another experiment comparing crops growing after pastures conducted in a wetter sequence of seasons... The expectation is based on results showing that pastures containing the perennial grasses phalaris and cocksfoot had higher yields than those based on lucerne... If pastures containing perennial pastures are more widely adopted, the expected economic benefit will be a yield advantage of about 10% over lucerne-dominant pastures...
