Research by the Western Australian No-Tillage Farmers Association (WANTFA) shows effective use of pre-emergent herbicides when sowing wheat early in dry conditions can help the crop out-compete weeds and lift yields... Dr Minkey says the research indicated that Sakura and Boxer Gold helped control weeds when wheat was dry-seeded early, but the effectiveness of trifluralin was limited on heavy soils. "..
