" The Nutrient Status of WA Soils and the impact of a record production year.. Northampton, Chapman Valley, Greenough 1997/1998 1998/1999.. Status = Colwell P/Critical value for each PBI % of samples with < 1.0 2010/11 Phosphorus % samples P deficient..
Projections of the WA climate made in 1988 have been confirmed by subsequent observations... Changes in seasonal mean rainfall and temperature for winter (JJA) and summer (DJF) as projected and observed are shown in Table 1... The information is being used to improve monitoring of fire weather conditions and has already assisted in management of bushfires on the South Coast...

Higher prices for both fertiliser and grain mean that fertiliser needs to be better targeted and used more efficiently because of the increased risks of losses both at the over- and under-fertilising ends of the spectrum... The key requirements for making better fertiliser recommendations are realistic estimates of potential yield (A), knowledge of the maximum yield response to fertiliser input for a give nutrient status of the soil (B) and estimates of nutrient use efficiency or the curvature of the response curve (C)... Yield response of ryegrass to applied N is considered to be linear b...

" Enhancing the functionality of Australian wheat and flours derived from Australian wheat in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.. The bread market in South East Asia is rapidly expanding as a result of greater westernisation, increasing personal disposable income, convenience, the increasing assortment and greater range of products available, and the perception that bread is a healthy product... Responses to remedial treatments are not necessarily the same each year, but depend on seasonal conditions... Biomass was measured at anthesis of crops and crop development was observed... Early broadleaf weed densities were measured at the same stage as crop vigour of 6 WA-S with low weed levels present ranging from 0 1 1 total weeds/m 2...

Kojonup may not be suitable for seasons or environments where low in-crop rainfall is experienced...
Total crop germination percentage is reduced by coating but may still prove valuable in terms of weed control by delaying crop emergence compared to weed emergence... The solution applied was a mixture of MSS, blue food colouring to enable us to see the extent of the coverage on the wheat seed, and wetting agent (BS1000) to assist in covering the seed... Unemployment rates remain high.. Leading to grains demand an increase in feed 18Source: China Feed Association, Rabobank,2011.. Rabobank projects that an equal record of 93.5 million acres will be planted in the US, further displacing soybeans as producers capitalise on strong price incentives and increase corn acreage in marginal production regions...
